3. James PHILBRICK¹⁰ was born about 1619 in Bures St. Mary, Suffolk, England. He was baptized on 2 December 1619 in Bures St. Mary, Suffolk, England.⁶ He died on 16 November 1674 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire. He was drowned in the Hampton River, near the mouth of Cole's Creek.

James PHILBRICK and Jane ROBERTS were married in 1644 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire.¹¹ Jane ROBERTS¹ was born about 1627 in Strafford, England.^11,12,13,14 She died in 1648 in Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire.^11,13

Chapman says on pg. 8: "JAMES ... [m. (1) JANE, (dau. of Thomas ROBERTS of Dover]?"
However, Chapman was making a tentative identification as evidenced by the brackets and question mark. There is no evidence to date that Thomas ROBERTS of Dover had a daughter named Jane.

James PHILBRICK and Anna ROBERTS were married before 1651 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire.

Anna ROBERTS was born about 1637.^14,15 [Chapman says 1631] She died after 10 February 1692/3.¹ "Feb. 10th, 1692-3 Ann Mastin, alias Philbrook, and James Philbrook [her son] all of Hampton," deeded to "Thomas Philbrook of Hampton, his share, in the estate of his father, James Philbrook deceased."
