Dorothy Philbrick, 87
WESTBORO-- Dorothy (Reny) Philbrick, 87, of 5 Colonial Drive, a former antique
shop co-operator, died Wednesday, March 15, in Westboro Healthcare Center.
Her husband, Ralph Philbrick, died before her. She leaves two nieces, Connie
Sukeforth and June Wyman, both of Skowhegan, Maine; two nephews, Kenneth Hilton
of Skowhegan and Raymond Hilton of Richland, Wash.; and two stepdaughters in
California. She was born in Skowhegan, daughter of Charles and Cora (Moody) Reny,
and lived in Natick before moving to Westboro in 1996. She was educated in Maine
schools and graduated from Bloomfield Academy.
Mrs. Philbrick and her husband ran an antique shop for many years, making
antique reproductions and specializing in Windsor chairs for domestic and
international customers. She also painted and sold her watercolor and oil
paintings and handpainted greeting cards. She spent 35 years breeding and caring
for poodles and Persian and Himalayan cats.
A funeral service and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
Rand-Harper Westboro Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., is directing arrangements.
