GERTRUDE PHILBRICK

Gertrude A. Philbrick, 97, Clarksville, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at the Montgomery County Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, Maine, with the Rev. Clayton Coffin officiating and McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

She was born April 25, 1902, in Perham, Maine, daughter of George E. and Blanche Jordan Lang. She was the widow of Percy O. Philbrick.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Nathan Philbrick and Phillip Philbrick.

Survivors include a son, James Philbrick, Carmichael, Calif.; eight daughters, Lillian Shumate, Creswell, Ore., Ellen Beeman, Springfield, Mass., Dawn Kennedy, Rushville, Ohio, Irene Yerxa, Bridgewater, Maine, Lorraine Sisco, Murfreesboro, Dorothy McCrea, Brewer, Maine, Jean Hudgins, Hendersonville, and Mary Murphy, Moravia, N.Y.; and 24 grandchildren.
