"William C. Philbrook, pictured with his wife Edith Nichols and their children, Carrie Sarah, Lawrence William, Roberta Cynthia and Ruth Edith. William C. was born 1865 in Delaware County, Ohio. He came to Cardington, Morrow County, Ohio in 1888 after his marriage to Edith and settled on a farm owned by Edith’s grandfather. William died 21 August 1952 in Cardington, Ohio. Carrie S. was born 1888 in Morrow County, Ohio, never married and died 1983 in Cardington, Ohio. Lawrence W. was born 1892 in Cardington, Ohio and died 1918 in Vishy, France during World War I. Roberta C. was born 1890 in Morrow County, Ohio, never married and died there in 1987. Ruth E. was born 1896 near Cardington, Ohio, never married and died there in 1971. Edith Nichols was born 1866 in Lincoln Township, Morrow County, Ohio and died 1947 in Cardington, Ohio."
