Walter  never owned a car.  This photo was taken by a
photographer who drove around and took pictures of
people sitting in his car, for a fee.  It looks like an old Maxwell.
The date of the photo is unknown but, based on the inscription,
it could be 1904, when Walter was 39 years old.
