Obituary for Mary (Quinn) Lair

Mrs. R. W. Lair -- April 14, 1912

Mrs. Mary Quinn Lair, one of the old and respected citizens of Spring Grove township, died at the home of her son, Willliam Lair, in that township, April 14, 1912, aged 83 years. She was born in Xenia, Ohio in 1829, settling near Sugar Tree Grove. Here she married R.W. Lair in 1854, and to them were born four children, three of whom survived her. They were Mrs. Romelia Gorsuch of Montana, William Lair of Alexis, and Mrs. Sarah F. Hall of Galesburg. Her funeral was conducted by Rev. D. E. Hughes of Monmouth, with burial in the Mosher cemetery.
