Westmoreland Co., Will book 1. No. 327
In the name of God Amen, I, Robert McGuire, now of the county
of Allegheny
and the state of Pennsylvania, being very sick and weak in body,
but of
perfect mind and memory thanks be to God's calling to mind the
mortality of
my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die,
do make and
(?) this is my last will and testament, that is to say, principally
and first
of all, I give and recommend my Soul into the hand of Almighty
God and (?) I
recommend my body to the earth to be buried in a decent christian
manner at
the discretion of my executors, and, as to such worldly estates
as it hath
pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give, (?) and dispose
of the
same in the following manner, viz. I leave and bequest all my
real and
personal property to my beloved wife, Nancy McGuire for the support
of her
and her two children, James and Polly McGuire and further do ordain,
constitute and appoint Nancy McGuire my wife Executrix in conjuction
with
Hugh Hamilton Esq. of Westmoreland County to assist in conducting
all and
singular relative to my estate.

Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of William Louchen(d)
(sic), Arthur
Hill , Westmoreland County, A.A. Before me James Montgomery Register
for
said County came William Loughear (sic) and Arthur Hill two witnesses
to the
written will and being sworn according to law deposed that they
were present
and saw Robert McGuire who is now deceased sign, seal, publish
and pronounce
this to be his last will and testamant and at the time of his
so doing, he
was of sound and disposing mind and that the names of these deponents
is in
their own proper hand writing and that they signed this same at
his request
and in his presents (sic). Sworn and subscribed before me this
30th day of
September 1813.
