Samuel McGuire, youngest son of John McGuire, moved to Wayne Co. Ohio before 1820. He appeared in the 1820 census for Wayne County. This section of Wayne County became incorporated into Holmes County in 1824. Samuel appeared in the 1830, 1840 and 1850 censuses for Holmes County. Samuel was elected Constable of Washington Township on April 4, 1831.
