Muster Roll of Capt. S. H. Dailey's Co. 1st Class Malitia
- Home Guard
Composed of Beats No. 5, 11 & 12, Monroe County, Alabama
In reviewing the details of the roster, it is painfully evident that many old men and young boys were now responding to defend their homelands. It is sad to note how very few were able to report with guns. Some of those from this home guard later joined Alabama Reserve units that became Alabama Regiments that aided in the defense of the last desperate days of fighting at Spanish Fort, Blakeley, and Mobile.
