(258) PPR Will Transcript: THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMEMT of me CHARLES OATRIDGE of Number 74 Leslie Terrace Llwyncelyn Porth In the County of Glamorgan Mining Engineer I hereby revoke all Wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me and declare this to be my lest Will and Testament I appoint my sons Eli and Llewellyn Edward to be the Executors and trustees of this my Will I direct my executors to pay all my Just debts funeral and testamentary expenses as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I direct my executors after payment of my Just debts funeral and testamentary expenses but before payment of the legaclies to possess themselves of the sum of One hundred and fifty pounds out of my Estate for the purpose of repairing my grave at Pentyrch Churchyard and my two graves at the Llethrddu Cemetery Trealew I also direct my executors to pay to my son Idris One pound per week and to pay the rent of the house occupied by him until my estate is administered I give and bequeath unto my son Charles my old silver watch and my armchair In the middle room and my Pembroke table end bamboo frame pier glass and small couch in the middle room In the house I occupy I give and bequeath unto my son Eli my presentation watch my gold Albert Chain my Albert Medal the picture of the Rescuers at Tynewydd Colliery and all my books I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Annie May Oatridge my fancy chair in the parlour I give end bequeath unto my son Llewellyn Edward the suite of five chairs in the middle kitchen I give and bequeath unto my son Ivor my safe but not the contents thereof and the pier glass In the middle kitchen I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Rebecca the daughter of my son Ivor the fancy chair in the parlour which belonged to my late wife Rebecca I give and bequeath unto my son ldris the bedstead bed and bedclothes in the small front bed- room I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ann my best red plush suite and couch my side-board and pier glass and pictures in front room my bedstead bed end bedclothes in the front bedroom my table in the middle room and the old easy chair In the middle room which belonged to my late wife Rebecca and all other household goods of every description not otherwise disposed of I give and bequeath unto my son ldris the sum of One hundred pounds free of legacy duty I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ann the sum of Four Hundred pounds free of legacy duty I give devise and bequeath my messuages or dwellinghouses and premises known as Numbers 8 9 and 10 Phillips Terrace Trehafod unto my son Charles absolutely I give devise and bequeath my messuages or dwellinghouses and premises known as. numbers 3 and 6 Trehafod Road Trehafod unto my son ldris absolutely I give devise and bequeath my messuages or dwelling houses and premises known as Number 23 Trehefod Road Trehafod Number 25 Eirw Road Britannia Porth and Numbers 23 and 24 Cymmer Road Porth unto my son Llewellyn Edward absolutely I give devise and bequeath my messuages or dwellinghouses and premises known as Number 116 Brithweunydd Road Trelaw and numbers 47 49 and 50 Edid Street Trealaw unto my son Ivor absolutely I give devise and bequeath my messuages or dwellinghouses and premises known as Number 56 Graigwen Road Cymmer Porth Number 12 York Terrace Porth and Numbers 23 and 24 The Parade Porth unto my son Ell absolutely And I direct that any Mortgages to which said houses or any of them shall be subject at my death must be paid by my Trustees so that the properties can be handed over to the devisees free of any charge Provided always that if any child of mine shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or children who shall survive me and being a son or sons shall attain the age of twenty one years or being a daughtor or daughters shall attain that age or marry under that age then and In every such case the last mentioned child or children shall take (and if more than one equally between them) the share which his her or their parent would have taken if such parent had survived me I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate of whatsoever kind and wherosoever situate unto my trustees Upon trust to convert into money such part thereof as shall not consist of money and to divide same equally between my said children but subject to the proviso herein-before contained In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty eighth day of April One thousand nine hundred and twenty eight. —— Signed by the said Charles Oatridge as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses.
