Notes on Family: William Sexton Williams was a Methodist minister according to
documents in Ill. and founded the Williams Society of Methodist in Illinois.
He was in the Black Hawk War and received bounty land in Montgomery Co., Ill. for
his service.
In the Estate papers of Wm. Williams I found outstanding note owed to
him by Wm. R. Overstreet. I have no evidence of relationship to Susannah. An elderly
cousin said she remembers by gr-grandmother talking about how
Susannah and Wm. traveled to Nashville, Tn. to visit family and one of their children died
on one of the trips. She thought it was Nancy but not sure. I have
not been able to tie Susannah to Tn.,Ky. or Illinois Overstreets. Hopefully someone will
someday have some clue.
