land bounty for his services as a Captain in the Contl. Line for six years.

Richard Blake and James Blake only children and heirs at law of Mary Blake,
only sister of Captain Richard Pendleton of Col Blands Regt. of the
Va. Contl. line appoint Luther H. Read their Atty.
Elizabeth City Co., May 24, 1838. Certified that Richard Blake and James
Blake are the nephews and heirs at law of Richard Pendleton, formerly
a Captain in the Rev., wo died intestate and without issue. The said Richard
and James Blake being the only children of Mary Blake, formerly Mary
Pendleton, only sister of Captain Pendleton.
