No immigration record for either Thomas0 or Sarah0.1 has been found, but also no earlier record of any Casebolt in America has been found in 40 years of searching.
No marriage record for Thomas0 and Sarah0.1 has been found, but in a Baltimore Co, MD land sale, Thomas0’ wife Sarah0.1 made her mark relinquishing her dower right in the land.
No birth records for any of their four presumed children have been found, but neither has any other possible Casebolt parent for these four younger Casebolts been found in 40 years of searching. However, we do have the following: according to Maryland law at the time, if a man died without a will, his widow would inherit 1/3 and his eldest son 2/3 of any estate … after Thomas0 died, Sarah0.1 Brock [widow] and John1 Casebolt [eldest son] jointly signed in the sale of Thomas0’ land.
