Thomas Walsh Martin, 72, of Strange Creek, Braxton County, died Oct 3, 1986, in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired glass worker for Libbey-Owens-Ford glass plant and was a lifelong resident of Braxton County. Surviving: wife, Beulah; son, Roland Kent of Birch River; daughters, brother, sisters, 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be 2 pm Sunday in Eureka United Methodist Church, Strange Creek, with the Rev Carl Houghton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 pm today at Gassaway Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church.538

Beulah M Martin
Beulah M Martin, 90, of Cross Lanes, formerly of Strange Creek, passed away Oct 31, 2004, at her home.
She was a retired schoolteacher in Braxton County and was a very avid quilter and gardener.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tyler Mountain and the Ladies Aide at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walsh Martin; parents, Flem and Mary Bail; and son, Kent Martin.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, Nov 3, at First Baptist Church of Tyler Mountain, Alpine Drive, Cross Lanes, with Pastor Jody Pistore officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel and one hour prior to service at the church.
Additional funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Eureka Methodist Church, Strange Creek. Burial will be in Eureka Cemetery, Strange Creek.
Friends may call 1/2 hour prior to service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the First Baptist Church of Tyler Mountain or Kanawha Hospice Care.
