Alice was known as "Aunt Alice" around Cheylan and was a midwife of some renown. Alice grew up near Boomer, WV and was the G-G Granddaughter of David Huddleston, who came to the Kanawha Valley of WV in 1785 (see "Huddleston Family Tables" by George Huddleston).

Funeral was at Cheylan Baptist Church, officiated by Rev C E Walker and Rev H E Crowder. Burial at Cheylan Cemetary.60

In addition to working for the C&O railroad, John worked as Tipple Boss for Stevens Coal Co and in coal mines at Black Betsy, WV; he also worked on old "Lock #4" near Cheylan on the Kanawha River.

TRACT FORTY-FOUR. That certain strip or section of land situated in the District [Cabin Creek, see TRACT THIRTY-SIX] and County aforesaid, beginning at the upper line of said “TRACT FORTY-THREE” at Station 771 plus 30 of said center line, and extending in an even width of 30 feet, that is 15 feet on each side of said center line, and with same for a distance of 172 feet to Station 703 plus 02 of said center line in the line of a tract of land owned by the Lewis Coal Company, and containing 12/100 of an acre, more or less, and more fully shown upon a plat exhibited with the petition to be filed in this cause, marked “107”, in which said tract of land the said John H Creasey is interested as the owner in fee, and his wife, the said Alice Creasey, has an inchoate right of dower therein, and said John H Creasey, Jr, has some right therein as a tenant of the owner.

Beginning at a point on the northerly Right of Way Line on the proposed State Road know(sic) and designated as Project 3398-A on the plans on file in the office of the Clerk of Kanawha Conty Court, said point being 8 feet right of Sta 23+80, 40 feet right north rail of C&O railroad tracks, (west bound main) and upon the property line between the Charleston National Bank property and J H Creasey;
Thence S 20 deg 30 min W along and binding upon the said property line between the Charleston National Bank property and J H Creasey 17 feet more or less to a point 7 feet left of Sta 23+87 said point being in centerline of present road;
Thence westerly along and binding upon the centerline of the present road following all the turns, curves, etc thereof 170 feet more or less to a point 9 feet left of Sta 25+55 said point being upon the property line between J H Creasey and C&O railroad;
Thence N 22 deg 30 min E along and binding upon the said property line between J H Creasey and C&O railroad Company 21 feet more or less to a point 8 feet right of Sta 25+47;
Thence turning easterly by a curve to the left with a radius of 4575.75 feet parallel to and 8 feet of centerline of said proposed road 166.7 feet more or less to a point of beginning;
Containing in all 0.064 acre(sic), more or less, including that part occupied by present road.
