During the Revolutionary War, Abraham was Private in a Pennsylvania Regiment from Newton, PA under the command of Captain Henry Van Horn, enlisting 12/26/1776. See Pennsylvania Archives, 2nd series, Vol 14, p 175 and Pennsylvania Archives, 5th series, Vol 5 p 304. He died near Lynchburg, VA in what was then Bedford Co, VA.

There are conflicting accounts on Abraham's second wife. One record says that his second wife was Ann Mathews in 1810. The DAR Patriot Index lists his second wife as Mary Huddleston. Ref 10 & 16 indicate that Abraham's second wife was Mary Patterson Huddleston -- my database reflects this.
