Abraham moved early in his life across the Delaware River from his birthplace in NJ to settle at Lower Makefield Township in Bucks Co, PA. It is believed that nearby Slack's Island is named for him. Abraham appears in the Lower Makefield Township list of 1783 and in the 1790 Census, Bucks Co. He served on the Committee on Safety during the Revolution. He was given 5,000 acres in Ohio under Military Land Law for this service. Abraham's will is recorded in Bucks Co, PA
