Karen Wood doesn't have birth date for Elizabeth Tabb, but believes she was born in Cumberland Co, VA, or on the way there about or after 1750. She may have be born before the move and not baptized, thinking they would do it in Cumberland, and found it was too far to go to Southam Parish. Karen Wood hasn't looked at Southam Parish records, but it may be there. Karen Wood believes she was married before 1780, but Karen has no date or bond. The will of Thomas Tabb gives only last names of daughters.

A guestimate of marriage date for Drury Edward Scruggs and Elizabeth Tabb before 1781 as that is date of son Drury's birth per census. Karen Wood is not sure what county. Molly Shumate found no record of this marriage in Cumberland Co, although she found his father's will there D. 1 Apr 29 1782, probated Aug 26, 1882. Names sons John, Theorick, Drury Edward, Carter, Jane Easley, Ann Minton and Fanny Scruggs. Executors Mary (Carter) wife and sons, John and Edward.
