A guestimate of marriage date for Drury Edward Scruggs and Elizabeth Tabb before 1781 as that is date of son Drury's birth per census. Karen Wood is not sure what county. Molly Shumate found no record of this marriage in Cumberland Co, although she found his father's will there D. 1 Apr 29 1782, probated Aug 26, 1882. Names sons John, Theorick, Drury Edward, Carter, Jane Easley, Ann Minton and Fanny Scruggs. Executors Mary (Carter) wife and sons, John and Edward.
