Henry Abraham Huddleston with his wife, Martha Pate moved to Smith County, Tennessee before 1804, in which year he bought land on Defeated Creek in Smith County (now Macon County) where he reared his family. The 1820 Census still showed him living in Smith County, Tennessee.

Thomas Huddleston and Rachel his wife, Henry Huddleston and Mary his wife, Daniel Huddleston and Agatha his wife, Abraham Huddleston and Mary his wife, Polly or Mary Huddleston and Patsy Huddleston, heirs of William Huddleston, deceased, too Nathan Huddleston 100 acres "between the land of said Nathan Huddleston and a survey made for Andrew Donnaly including the place whereon John Boomer Huddleston lived. Land purchased of Lewis Tackett. Witnesses: Job Martin, John Huddleston, Job Huddleston and Joseph Martin.

It is believed by some of his family connections that Henry of Smith Co was not in fact this Henry, and that he married Martha GIBBS of SC. However, there are letters from descendants that appear to prove that this Henry was the brother of Abraham, son of William (Sr), and hence is this individual.
