Thomas Tabb married Martha----, and died before 17 Feb 1695-96 when Thomas Tabb, his son, gave a receipt to Edmund Sweeny, his "father-in-law" (stepfather) for estate left by his father, Thomas Tabb, and for cattle let by his grandmother, Joanna Tabb. Thomas Tabb had issue Humphrey "eldest son" who dying without issue left 33 1/3 acres to William Armistead, his executor, Thomas, John, William, Edward and Elizabeth, who married George Burtenhead. (See will of Edward Day of York Co who died about 1688 and will of Thomas Curson, who died about 1704 and Elizabeth City Records). Martha, the widow, married Edmund Sweeny (will proved in Elizabeth City Co 16 May 1697). She was his second wife and his sons were Edmund and Samuel Sweeney, under age, but they may have been by the first wife.
