This Indenture made the 26th day of March in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and seventy between William Epperson and Martha his wife of the parish of Southam and the county of Cumberland of the one part and Littleberry Mosby of the same county and parish of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Epperson and Martha his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fourteen pounds ten shillings current money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said Littleberry Mosby the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant------286 acres bounded northwardly by Thomas Steger Eastwardly by John Mayo and Littleberry Mosby Southwardly by Thompson Swann and westwardly by John Parrot Stegar and all woods underwoods ways waters and water courses profits commodities hereditaments and --------At a court held for Cumberland County 26th March 1770 etc etc. (Thompson Swann, clerk of court)228
