Misc. Notes
Mary Cordelia was operating a ferry boat at Lowman's Ferry (now Lowman's Ferry Bridge] in Pulaski County. John was a huckster, selling for the store owned by the Weeks family in Floyd County. John would sell out in the countryside and he traveled across the New River on his route. He was a handsome young man, she was a beautiful young woman and the rest is history. Both were very stylish people and very concerned about dressing their best and being presentable. (Contributed by Kathy Shelburne Taylor)177
