Mrs. W. Anderson Was Buried Here-Died in Pampa, Tx June 26, 1930
Funeral services were held for Mrs. William W. Anderson, 81, at the Baptist church Friday afternoon with the Rev. J. T. Daniels, pastor of the First Baptist church in charge of the service. Mrs. Anderson was formerly Susan Virginia Frans, she was born June 3, 1849 at Belknap, Tx and married William Anderson, Dec. 25, 1865. They had eight children....... All the living children were at her bedside when she died. She left seven children, 66 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild surviving her. Her husband, William W. Anderson died, five years ago at a hospital in Elk City, Ok. Mrs. Anderson was for many years a member of the Baptist church, her membership being at Pampa, Tx at the time of her death. She lived a consistent Christian life, firm in her convictions, affectionate in disposition, devotedly loyal to her family and to every duty, patient in afflication and faithful and true in every relation. .......Burial in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery. --Copy of this clipping from Jack and Dorothy Perkins.417

ANOTHER PIONEER PASSES TO HIS REWARD
W. W. Anderson, familiary knowns as "Uncle Billy" whho has for years resided on his farm south of this city(Cheyenne),passed away Sunday night in the Elk City Hospital where he had undergone an operation for neuritis..........Mr. Anderson leaves a long line of lineage--over one hundred in number. He was born in Montgomery County Arkansas. His parents moved to Williamson County, Texas when he was four and later to Shackelford County where he was married to Miss Susan Virginia Frans. .........He was converted and united with the Baptist church Jan. 1866. He has been a faithfull church member since that date. Bro. Anderson was a charter member of the Cheyenne Baptist church and helped to build both the Methodist and Baptist church buildings of that city, helping to haul lumber from Quannah, Tx. He has been a resident of Oklahoma for 32 years, living most of the time at his present home near Cheyenne. ..... Bro. Anderson was a Texas ranger during the Civil war.
