My 11th great grandmother was Mrs. Alice (?maiden name?) PIERCE, (born: in
England, and came to Virginia in the early 1600's,) who married as her 1st husband, Thomas PIERCE, (born: in England, and came to Virginia in the eary
1600's,) and they were the parents of a daughter, Elizabeth PIERCE, born between 1601 & 1610. Mrs. Alice (?maiden name? PIERCE married after the
death of Thomas PIERCE to her 2nd husband, Thomas BENNETT, born: 01 June
1580 in Wilvescomb, Somerset, England, died: 1642 in Lawne's Creek, James City, Isle of Wight Co., VA, who was my 12 th great grandfather. From them I
descend through the their son, Richard BENNETT, Sr. in the tree below.

It is possible that Alice is related to Jane PIERCE, (daughter of Capt
William PIERCE,) who married John ROLFE (widower of Pocahontas.) And the
BENNETT family of Alice's 2nd husband is married into the WYNNE family that
is descended from the SLOMAN line that married into the POYTHRESS line
related to the ROLFE and POCOHANTAS line.
