HERBERT

The funeral of William Herbert Pearce took place Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the United Davis-Vorhies Chapel. Rev. C. M. Benight conducted the services. A quartet composed of Miss Roberta Owens, Miss Stella Jackson, Mrs. George Devilbiss and Mrs. Roy Shouse, accompanied by Mrs E. W. Mayhew sang, "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus,"

" No Night There," and " My Jesus As Thou Wilt." The flower bears were Medames William Edwards, G. R. Whitman, C. M. Benight and M. A. Doty. The pallbearers were G. L. Fisher, J. H. Mooney, W. O. Rodarmel, J. E. West, J. Myres and W. Bullock. Interment was at the family lot in Mountain View Cemetery, Pueblo, CO. PUEBLO CHIEFTAIN- PUEBLO, COLORADO-Dec. 8, 1925 (9)

Comandry #442 (Masonic Lodge.) Student in Teachers Department in 1887 of Northrn Indiana Normal School, as Valparaiso University was formerly known.Valparaiso, Indiana. Worked as a painter for the AT&SF RR from 1900 until his death. Salida CO. & Pueblo, CO. William died Dec. 6, 1925 at the Railroad Hospital in LaJunta, Otero Co. CO. Services were held at Vahalla Funeral Home and the burial in the family plot at Mt. View Cemetry, Pueblo, CO. Anne Eliza was born 1864 in Irving, Montgomery, Co. HOMER

Homer Herbert Perace of 443 Alma, passed away in a local hospital Friday afternoon, May 14, 1954. He was the husband of Neva L. Holcomb Pearce and father of Mrs. Lorna Mathews, Mill Valley CA.; Mrs. Lenore Privett, Pueblo, CO; Paul Gene Pearce, Pueblo, CO.; and Kenneth Pearce, Beulah, CO. He was the brother of Grace E. Dunn, Canon City, CO. and Frank W. Pearce, Alaska. Mr. Pearce had lived in Pueblo for over 40 years, and belonged to the Lake Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Valhalla funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. V. L. Currie. Interment will follow in the family plot in Valhalla Memorial Park. JOHN PIERCE
Michael Shallow was born in Aghalateeve, Parish Kilbegnet, Co., Galway about 1857, the son of John Shallow. He emigrated with his brother John 3646 S. Lowe Avenue,
about the year 1873 to Chicago and settled in Nativity Parish where he married Catherine Naughton, the daughter of Naughton of Galway, in 1885. They had 5 children,
John, Edward, Daniel, May (James B. Crowley) and Margaret (JOHN PIERCE). Shallow was a saloon keeper at 3758 S. Union St. and died June 1914.

Chicago Families:

(see above item) Michael O'Keefe born Nov. 1856 in Parish, Kilbegnet,. Galway, son of Martin Keefe and Anna Naughton. Married Anne Kilheeney. Mrs. O'Keefe died May 5, 1900 of pneumonia. Michael married the second time to NORA PIERCE and had two daughters Honora and Margaret. Mr. O'Keefe died July 19, 1923, Cook County Hospital. (Chicago Irish Families 1875/1902).
