Andrew J. BLACK

1895 – 1918

Mrs John BLACK received the sad news by telegram that her youngest son, Andy BLACK, was killed in action in France with the American Army some time last month. Andy was an Elmwood boy and went to Saskatchewan and Alberta several years ago. Later he crossed the border into Montana where he and his brother (Robert) were extensively engaged in ranching. When war was declared by President WILSON, Andy enlisted and has done his bit for his country. It is only a short time since Mrs BLACK’s husband was laid to rest and we extend our sympathy in this her sad bereavement.
