William and Prissilah." A record of Mary's baptism has yet not been located, nor have baptismal records been located for brothers Edward, Stephen, and Benjamin.

One Mary PRESSON m. 1720 at Manchester, Essex Co., MA to Samuel WILLIAMS. (A Benjamin PRESSON also married at Manchester in the same time period. See Benjamin Preson.) Record of Mary PRESSON's marrage from Manchester is: "PRESSON, Mary m. Samuel WILLIAMS, Dec 16, 1720." The intention of this marriage recorded at Beverly under the spelling "BESSON." From Beverly Vital Records: "BESSON, Mary and Samuell WILLIAMS of Manchester, int." At least six children born to the family of Mary and Samuel WILLIAMS of Manchester. More Information.1.[1].[1].[05] Stephen PRESBURY (1697 - xxxx). Stephen's birth was recorded at Beverly, now Essex Co., MA. "PRESON, Stephen, s. William and Prissilah." He married 1723 at Newbury to Abigail SARGENT, dau. Capt. Edward and Elizabeth SARGENT of Newbury. Abigail was b. 1704. Capt. Edward SARGENT and family were of Saco and Newbury. In 1740, by deposition; Edward lived at Saco until he was aged 27. In 1681 Edward SARGENT and George PAGE made the Cape Porpus highway. He, with "Goodman SCAMMON collected the minister's salary there in 1685. Edward SARGENT held various positions or offices at Saco: Grand jury, 1686; trial justice, 1687. He was a representative of the town and a town commissioner the following year." During wartime he leased a town home at Portsmouth, where the family is said to have lived for just under three years from 22 Sept. 1689. Edward SARGENT commanded the Winter Harbor garrison in 1690. In May of that year, he requested "vessels to carry off the women and chil"dren. Edward SARGENT was considered of Saco in Jan. 1690-1 when he was deeded property by "D. Tristram." Further Reference is provided to Lists 249(3), 36 and York Deeds 13: 226. Edward Sargent again at Saco 1696 as Captain; he bought the "Love" property at Salmon Falls in 1697, in turn sold to Ichabod PLAISTED in 1707. Abigail's mother, Elizabeth, died at Newbury 1718, at aged 56. Edward SARGENT re-married there 1719 to Sarah (Pierce) Bradstreet, and died (Esq.) 1742 at aged 81 leaving a will. His widow, Sarah, died 1743-4, aged 74. In 1727, Stephen PRESBURY, the son of William and Priscilla, together with his brother Edward, both shipwrights at Newbury, were deeded Cape Porpus land from grant of 1681-82 by mother Priscilla (Randall) PRESBURY and aunt Sarah WEST. Benjamin's mother, then widowed, was bap. at Beverly 1719, and the three youngest children of William and Priscilla, Nathan and William, and Ruth, were christened (PRESTON) at Beverly 1720. Benjamin's brother Nehemiah and his wife Abegil ALLIN (m. 1714 by the Rev. Thos. BLOWERS at Beverly) were christened 1720 at Beverly. His brother Randall was christened at Beverly 1727, several years after he m. 1723 to Susannah Stone. A record of Benjamin's baptism has yet not been located, nor have baptismal records been located for brothers Edward, Stephen, or sister Mary. Randall was not baptized until 1727. The town records, "Randal Preston" [having married at Beverly four years earlier] "adult, ch[ristene]d." Randall married 1723 at Beverly to Susannah STONE, by the Rev. Thomas Blowers. Susannah STONE, dau. of John STONE, of Salem then Beverly, by his second wife, said Sarah GALE. This dau. Susannah b. 1702. John STONE was born in Salem, (20:2:1661), the son of Nathaniel STONE and Remember CORNING who was of Beverly. Separately, John and Sarah (Gale) STONE said dau. Charity, b.1700 m. 1722 at Beverly to Benjamin ROUNDY. This Benjamin and Charity (Stone) ROUNDY said parents of Robert (Dec.) ROUNDY, b. 1721/22 who in turn m. 1751 to Abigail PRESSON, dau. Nehemiah and Abigail (Allen) PRESSON (see Nehemiah PRESSON of Beverly). Randall PRESTON was a tailor of Beverly. In 1729, Randall PRESSON, taylor, deeded to Peter LAMPSON of Ipswich, "taylor," a "house and land bounded on land of George HULL, on the road to Rubly Hill and c.," "reserving to his father [in law] John Stone, a right of way." Randall PRESSON died at Beverly 1744, a. abt. 42 y. His wife Susannah (Stone) PRESTON d. 1751. Records at Beverly from Vital Records, "PRESTON, -------, wid. Randal, ---------, 1751." William and Presilah" With his brother, Nathan, and sister, Ruth, William, then aged 20, was christened at Beverly 1720. William PRESSON m. 1728 Mary, elsewhere Mary RAYMOND, dau. Nathaniel and Rebecca (Conant) RAYMOND. Record at Beverly is, "PRESON [PRESTON, int.] and Mary RAYMOND." Intention also recorded.Mary RAYMOND was born at Beverly 1709/10. At Beverly, William and Mary were known both as PRESSON or PRESTON, and the birth of eight children were there recorded, through the year 1745. From Chester, Rockingham Co., NH, "William PRESSON came from Beverly, and settled on Add-No. 44, nearly opposite where Rufus Phillips [later] lived." Although the date William and Mary settled at Chester is not yet known, the marriage of their son William is said recorded 1752 at Chester. With his brother, William, and sister, Ruth, Nathan, then aged 13, was christened at Beverly 1720. Perhaps the Nathan who married Martha COLLLINS 1727 in Salisbury, MA, "Nathan PRESBURY, of Newbury m. Martha COLLINS." Marriage record is from old Norfolk Co. Court Book. Note: The town of Salisbury was est. 1640 from land then known as Colechester. In 1688, part of the town of Salisbury was set off as the new town of Amesbury.

Ruth, together with her brothers William and Nathan was baptized at Beverly 1720. She married William GOODHUE about 19 August 1727. Record at Ipswich reads, "GOODHUE, William and Ruth PRESTON, int. Aug. 19, 1727." William GOODHUE, son of Nathaniel GOODHUE and Mercy HAWKES. William b. 1699. Record reads: "William, s. Nath[anie]ll and Mercy." William GOODHUE d. 1772, at Ipswich.
