The Pridgen Mailing/Discussion List began on June 6, 1997 and since that date has grown to over 100 subscribers. All your inputs are needed so it can grow to become an even more vibrant and informative list.

Below you will find directions to retrieve old postings, subscribe, change to Digest or Mail Mode, post a message, or unsubscribe. By clicking on the highlighted words in the text you can perform the task for the given instructions.

Click on the following link: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl.

Enter the name of the individual you are ressearching in the "Query:" block, click on the year you want to see then click on the "Search" button

To subscribe -

For Mail mode (where each message posted is sent to you separately) Just send the command "subscribe" to PRIDGEN-L-request@rootsweb.com.

For Digest mode (several postings are combined and sent to you together as a single large message) Just send the command "subscribe" to PRIDGEN-D-request@rootsweb.com.

(*note the difference between the two addresses. PRIDGEN-L- and PRIDGEN-D-)

To change Modes -

1. Unsubscribe to whichever mode you are in.

2. Subscribe to the mode you want to use.

To change to NOMAIL mode.There is no formal NOMAIL mode. All you have to do is follow the directions to unsubscribe when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them to start again, simply subscribe again.

If you'd like to post a message so everyone on the mailing list receives it, just send it to PRIDGEN-L@rootsweb.com. It will then be sent on to everyone in both mail and digest mode.

To unsubscribe. Send a message to

PRIDGEN-L-request@rootsweb.com (or PRIDGEN-D-request@rootsweb.com )

that contains (in the body of the message) the command unsubscribe and no additional text.
