   The funeral of M. D. Gebler, an account of whose death appeared in the Sunday Star, will be held from his late home, 522 South First Street, at 1:30 this afternoon and from Centennial Methodist Episcopal church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. W. W. Painter will officiate. The members of Forest City Lodge, A. O. U. W., are requested to meet in the lodge room at 1 o'clock.
   Mathias D. Gebler was born at Kingston, Luzerne County, Pa., Dec. 9, 1828. He came to Illinois in 1856, and had since resided here. In company with Frank Ward, he started in business in 1873, the partnership continuing for several years. After it was dissolved he entered the employ of Mr. Ward.
   Mr. Gebler is survived by his wife and seven children. The children are James, George and Will of Chicago, Mrs. Frank Stocking of Madison, Wis., Mrs. C.C. Moore of Woodstock, Ill., Mrs. C.H. Waxham of North Liberty, Ind., and Mrs. O.C. White of this city.
