Louise Viola (Thompson) Davis-La Montagne-Voorhees

   Funeral services are scheduled Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ullrey Memorial Chapel for Lulu Viola Voorhees, 102, of Yuba City, who died July 19, 1986, at Driftwood Convalescent Hospital, Yuba City.
   Voorhees' father and grandfather came to Sutter County by covered wagon in 1863. One of nine children, Mrs. Voorhees grew up on the old Mathew Nall place in West Butte and often walked barefoot to the old West Butte School.
   Mrs. Voorhees' father, George Thompson, was the developer of the Thompson Seedless grape.
   Voorhees is survived by two daughters; three sons, George Davis of Meridian, Arthur La Montagne of Sutter and Ernest La Montagne of Yuba City; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
   Private burial will be in Sutter Cemetery.
