John A. Waxham, 725 Washington Ave., Dunkirk, N.Y., died Saturday afternoon in Brooks Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Irving, N.Y. 90 years ago, he had resided in Dunkirk for 75 years. Between 1907 and 1919 he lived in Schenectady.
He retired in 1946 after working 56 years in the engineering department of the Alco Products plant.
Mr. Waxham was one of the charter members of Adams Memorial Church. His only survivors are some cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the home of the Orcutt Funeral Service. The Rev. Walter Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredonia. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 10 today.
