
![]() Charles H. and Hettie Louise (Gebler) Waxham Charles H. Waxham was the youngest son of Zachariah and Caroline (Nevins) Waxham and was born in Indiana. He married Hettie Louise Gebler, the daughter of Matthias and Amy Gebler. Charles became a pharmacist and operated a drug store in Chicago before enrolling in the College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating in 1893. In 1901 they moved to Sugar City, Colorado where Charles was the staff physician for the Holly Sugar Company and had a private practice in the National Hotel. He served in the Army Reserves Medical Corp during World War I, then returned to Sugar City where he practiced medicine from a home office until his death in 1937. Charles and Hettie had three children, Amy Blanche, Grace Caroline (died in infancy) and Charles LeRoy. |
