 Louise Viola (Thompson) Davis-La Montagne-Voorhees Lou was the daughter of George and Sarah (Burgett) Thompson and was married four times. Her first husband was Henry Philander Davis, with whom she had two children. She divorced Henry about 1907 and married Leon Gilbert La Montagne in 1908. Leon and Lou had five children before Leon passed away in 1916. Lou then married Leon's brother, William Burt La Montagne, in 1917. After his death in 1925 Lou married Clarence Voorhees. Clarence passed away in 1946 and Lou spent the remainder of her long life in Sutter and Yuba City, California. She was a very popular person in this area and was called "Grandma" by many residents. She passed away 22 July 1986 at the age of 102. |
