Clinton County records show Abraham Ross as living in Washington Township,
Clinton County in 1830 and he was between 30 and 40 years of age. The 1850
census lists h is age as 51.
Abraham's brother, William, gave information for his biography in Chapman
Brother's History of Vermilion and Edgar Counties in which he stated that
Abraham died in Edgar County, Ilinois in 1877 leaving a widow and grown up
children.
Multiple Orange County, Califoria histories and the family group sheets of
family members all list Abraham as the father of Jacob Ross. This is not true
as delineated in the notes of his father, John Ross.
