Named in her father's will but only for !.00. Married name listed as McBride.
Note that her brother, William, Married Mary McBride. Jane McBride, age 49,
was living in Washington Township, Clinton County, Indiana in the 1850 census
with William, age 21, susan, 16 and Phebe, age 1. Jane was born in PA whjich
is cinsistant withthe Thompson Family history that they stayed for a short
time in Phiadelphia before going to Perry County, Ohio.
Jane was head of household in the 1840 census of Clinton County so her
husband must have died prior to 1840. In the household were one male, age
10-15; one age 15-20; and two males ages 20-30. The females were one age
5-10; one age 15-20 and two ages 40-50.
In the 1850 cenus of the area of Jefferson in Washington Township she is
listed as head of household, age 49 with William, age 21; susan age 16; phebe
age 1; a Thomas Miller age 12 was in the household.
In the 1860 census she is listed age 64 living with son, William age 32. They
are next to John and Cynthia Allen and family.
She is buried in Providenc Cemetery, died August 2, 1863, age 66y, 6m. Same
stone as James McBride.
