From Jean Suplick Matuson, Plano,TX Her notes state she finds no evidence of
their marriage in MD or PA. She finds Pipers both places.
In the 1880 census Sarah stated that both of her parents were born in
Ireland.
James and Sarah settled on a tract in North Strabane Township, Washington
County, PA. James died just fourteen days after preparing his will. Sarah
lived with her son, Robert, during her later years as evidenced in the 1870
and 1880 census records.
James' father was Robert 2 and his grandfather was Robert 1 according to
Jean's records. I do not have her complete records or sources.
