Bird Womack, soldier GwinnettDunbar's Muscogee10278 From The Georgia Black Book, by Robert Scott Davis, Jr

Land Lot Won Fraudulently: 278-10 Muscogee
Informer: James M Nettles
Fraudulent Drawer: Bird Womack
County Registered: Gwinnett
District Registered: Dunbars Dist
Draws Received: ----
Date Registered For Lottery: ----
Fraud: Womack misrepresented himself as having served at least three months tour of duty as a soldier in the late war with Great Britain and Indians. Condemned Muscogee County Superior Court, Feb Term, 1829
Date of Governor's Order: 5 May 1828

REB Note: Bird Womack was a soldier in the War of 1812 (referred to "the late war with Great Britain and Indians"); National Archives has his service record (indexed as Bird Wammack), though I have not seen it. Perhaps he could not prove he served, or he did not serve long enough.
