NOTES: These exceprts from the court minutes are from photocopies of a book at the Tennessee State Archives. This is a book typed out by WPA workers. The archives does not have the original court minutes on microfilm; I assume the orginal record books are in Huntingdon, TN, the county seat of Carroll County. The typist underlined words or parts of words he thought were misspelled and struck through several words, which were probably crossed out by the county clerk in the original manuscript. I have attempted to type out these records as I found them, but I have probably made a few typos. I have bolded the names of several persons related to me, or from allied families.
