John W Teed

John was one of two sons of William Teed that left Cambridgeshire for Michigan in 1854. His brother Tom settled in Clinton Co, and John settled in Allegan Co. There with his wife Elizabeth Barton (Teed) he raised seven children. In his old age he re-married a young widow just off the boat from England and started family life all over again. In the 1900 census we find him at age 70 with a young wife, an 8-year-old step-daughter, and two young sons, one 5 years old and one 3.
