The most important rule is to exercise good sense and behave as you would at any other social event. Remember, when you post a message to the list it is being delivered to over 1000 mailboxes. Violation of the list rules can result in a warning, moderation (I review your messages before they are posted to the list.), or removal, depending on the circumstances. Moderation lasts until you agree to abide by the list rules. No one will be permanently removed from the list for making a little mistake, but those who refuse to cooperate after being warned or moderated will be permanently removed.	1] Please limit your posts to IOWA GENEALOGY. Absolutely NO virus warnings, chain letters, advertisements or self-promotion for money-making ventures. 2] Please do not repeat the same post more often than once each 30 days. 3] Do not post complaints to the list. Do not post your opinions about how the list should be run. If something posted to the list bothers you, please respond privately to me at IOWA-admin@rootsweb.com. 4] Remember to be courteous in your public and private posts to other list members. Rudeness, vulgarity and personal attacks will not be tolerated.	5] It is generous and appreciated to offer to do lookups. However, if they are from copyrighted materials the responses must be posted privately--not to the list. 6] Please do not request a "Roll Call." We will do some kind of "Roll Call" on ocassion, however with a list this large it requires some preparation and instructions.
