THE TALLMAN GENEALOGICAL RECORD
Transcribed from the Handwritten Manuscript
Prepared by
VIRGIL BURDETTE TALLMAN
(1885-1969)
of Canal Winchester, Ohio
The Tallman Genealogical Record is a valuable reference for researchers of Tallman, Lincoln and Boone families. Virgil B. Tallman, who began this work in the 1940s, was fastidious in his explanations and references as he continued work begun before the turn of the century by Miss Mary Josephine Roe. We are indebted to them for the preservation of the William Tallman 1770 bible record.
The project of converting the handwritten manuscript into a typed document was undertaken by Robert and Jacqueline Tallman in the early 1990s. They carefully transformed the document into a format that allowed for easier reading and broader distribution, while asiduously avoiding any possible changes to V. B. Tallman's intent or meanings in the original document.
Now, thanks to R. J. Thorpe, this document is achieving even wider distribution via the world wide web.
