Delpha Mae Counce lost her mother when she was two years old. She attended
grade school in District 37 in Hayes county and graduated in and taught
two terms all in Hayes county. She attended the University of Nebraska
and was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. She met her husband-to-be at a
social affair in Hayes county. Warrie Dean Walbridge was born on a farm
five miles west of Palisade in Hayes county and this is where he took his
bride and where they lived out their lives. His schooling was obtained
in Hayes county and he and his wife have never lived anywhere else. They
were both Methodists. Warrie belonged to the Masons in Palisade and Delpha
to the Order of the Easter Star No. 318 in Palisade.129
