The information on this site is taken from an 1885 edition of Cram's Unrivaled Family Atlas of the World. The enclosed lists of post offices, villages, towns, cities and counties were scanned from the original atlas. Located in the lists are the names of the places, counties of location, sections of the county where the place is located and the populations of the places. Locations of county courthouses are denoted by a bold typeface and a dot preceeding the name represents an express post office. Place names italicized represent places with no post office. These lists can be invaluable to researchers in that all populated places in the state are listed, as was found in 1885. Many of the places are now extinct and are no longer on contemporary maps. On the county list below, the section of the state where the county is located is denoted.
