The 1790 census at Weston shows the Jonah Rockwell household with 2 males 16+, 4 males <16, and 4 females. The older males are probably Jonah and Simmons, the younger males may be any of the following: William, Justus, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Nathan. Not all of these are proven sons of Jonah, but it is also possible that older sons were living elsewhere, perhaps doing apprenticeships.
The 4 females would be wife Elizabeth and perhaps three young daughters. I have proposed that they included Miriam Rockwell, who married Thomas Rodgers at Norfield on 12 Feb. 1798; and Tamasin Rockwell, who married Levi Thorp on 14 March 1799 at Norfield Congregational Church in Weston, Connecticut. Further is needed on these couples, as I don't know what children either had. As for the fourth female, she remains unidentified.
Jonah's youngest daughter is called Pamela in her baptism record and in the 1850 census. But her headstone in Center Cemetery, Bethel, Conn., calls her "Parmelia." The headstone is for both Edwin and Parmelia, and reads: "Edwin S. Drew, died Sept. 10, 1887, aged 83 years 5 mo. / Parmelia R. his wife died March 24, 1872, aged 72 years 8 mo." If this date is meant to be exact, her date of birth would be July 24, 1799. [See image at: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Drew&GScid=198550&GRid=11410180& ]
Edwin Starr Drew was born 10 April 1804 in Redding, the son of John and Mollie (Sanford) Drew. They married on 1 Feb. 1832, and had five children, according to the Thomas Sanford genealogy of 1911 by Carlton E. Sanford, p. 319, 595–596. It gives "Permelia's" birth date as July 7, 1779. Obviously, the year is off, probably a simple typo in the third digit, but the date of birth may be correct.
