Julie Cornell provided me with details from Cornell has his obituary from the Georgetown Courier, Saturday, April 19, 1891, p. 3, col. 3:
David W. Rockwell, one of the pioneers of Colorado, died at Denver on Wednesday. Mr. Rockwell had been sick for a year or more and was taken to Denver some weeks ago to see if the lower elevation would not benefit him. He came to Colorado in 1863, and lived at Central (city) until 1872 when he removed to Georgetown. He leaves a wife and nine children nearly all of whom are grown.
