This is a bit of an unusual way to do a genealogy page, I suppose.  But there is lots of space (50Meg Site for $7.50/mo as "added incentive" the the multiple services of Rootsweb so many of us use for free every day, anyway)

Here you will find links to the things we are discussing in Lists provided by Rootsweb.  My site will cover, the area from Liberty to Bardstown, KY.  To start.  I have questions asked many times over, and want a place where the good folks I have to answer, again and again, can just plug into, to get what they are looking for.

So, Here Goes!

Phillips Station is where
Nelson
Washington and
Marion Counties are now

The Phillips and related families were living on Stations Run (the creek that runs into Hardin's Creek), by 1782.  Thomas Phillips and what is commonly believed to be his brother John,  appear in 1779, and purchase a tract of land from Daniel Wheelan in June of 1779

Here is a little graphic I put together to show the relationship between the Phillips (Cartwrights), Bealls, and Peaks on my  line  It also indicates the lineage of the mother of Jim Beam

I have quite a bit on the Phillips from here forward, but little to none on the relationship of the Bealls.  Was Walter Beall related to William?  This Walter Beall?  There was an odd land transaction in which Thomas deeded 300 acres to a Whitledge for five shillings.  Two and 1/2 years later Whitledge sold this land to Walter Beall for 60 pounds.  Does anyone know the story?  This Walter Beall is the same one that Beallesville, KY was named after isn't it?
