This indenture made this twenty sixth day of September 1751 in the twenty fifth year of our sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain,France and Ireland King defender of the faith ___ Annag 1751 between William Eckholes of Lunanburg County of the one and James Wingo of Amelia County of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Eckholes for and in consideration of the sum of ten pounds current money of Virginia by the said James Wingo to the said William Eckholes in hand paid at and before the ensealing & delivering of these presents the receipt whereof and the said William Eckholes doth hearby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof doth acquit & discharge the said James Wingo his heirs executors and administrators have given, granted, bargained, sold, enfeoffed____ and confirmed and by these present do give, grant, bargain, sell, ensfeoff____ and confirm to the said James Wingo his heirs and assigns forever one tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Amelia aforesaid containing one hundred & four acres granted to the said William Eckholes by patent bearing date the twelfth day of January One Thousand seven hundred and forty seven in the XXI year of his majesty reign (and bounds as follows (to wit) beginning at Wood's and Dawson's corners thence along Dawson's line north forty three degrees west two hundred poles to Crawford Corner thence along his line south two degrees east two hundred and thirty eight poles to Dawson's Corner thence along his line east twenty eight degrees north one hundred and sixty two poles to his corner forked pine thence west thirty eight degrees north fifteen poles to the beginning with all & singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging and all the estate right, title, interest, property claim & demand whatsoever of him the said William Eckholes of in and to the promises and every part and parcel thereof and the revision and revisions, remainder and remainders rents, issues and porfits there f and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the premises aforesaid with the appurtenances to the said James Wingo his heirs and assigns forever to the only use____ ____and ____behalf of him the said James Wingo his heirs and assigns forever and no other ____use____,interest or purpose whatsoever and the said William Eckholes for himself heirs executors and administrators and every of them doth covenant, promise and grant to and with the said James Wingo his heirs and assigns in manner and form following that he the said James Wingo his heirs or assigns shall or may from time to time and at all times hereafter peaceable & quietly have, hold, possess, occupy & enjoy the said premises with the appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof without lawful ____set____ suit, hindrance, interruption, eviction, molestation or disturbance of him the said William Eckholes his heirs or assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever having or lawfully claiming or which shall have or lawfully claim any right, title or interest into or out of the said premises with the appurtenances or any part thereof and also free & clearly discharged of and from all former and other bargains, sales, gifts, grants, testaments, grantors, dowers, leases, wills, entails statutes, judgements, recognizances, mortgagees executions, rents, covenant and all other charges titles,troubles and incumbrances whatsoever and that the said William Eckholes his heirs executors and administrators the premises aforesaid with the appurtenances to the said James Wingo his heirs and assigns against all persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and by those present forever defend. In witness whereof the party to these present have interchangeably set his hand & seal the day and year first above written,m sealed & delivered in presents of William Eckols.
