He was retired from UMW and from Chrysler Corp.

Surviving: sons, Carl of Fredericka, Guyna Jr. of Lauren, S.C., Steve Allen of Milford, Kenneth Wayne of Dover; brother, the Rev. Tommy of Dorothy, W. Va.; sisters, Mary Woodrin of Beckley, W. Va., Lillian Stanley of Beaver, W. Va., Charlotte Thompson of Logan, W. Va., Marie Marcum of Charleston, W. Va., Loretta Holstein of Cleveland; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Melvin Funeral Home, Herrington, with the Rev. Dean Price officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Herrington. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
