OBITUARY
Esther Ella Jaeger was born February 19, 1917 in Collins Township, McCleod County, Minnesota, the daughter of Reinhardt and Ida (Schulte) Beilke. She was baptized on March 25, 1917 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills, and was confirmed on May 17, 1931 also at St. John's. She grew up in Collins Township and attended rural school.
Esther was united in Marriage to Sidney Jaeger on May 8, 1936 at the St. John's Parsonage in Cedar Mills. The couple lived and farmed in Preston Lake Township for many years. After Sidney's death, Esther remained living at hoe until March 7, 2001 when she entered Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson. Esther enjoyed helping and caring for others, and also baking cookies and giving them away. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. She enjoyed making quilts at home to be sent wherever they were needed.
Esther is survived by her daughter Sharon Picha and husband Lloyd of Buffalo Lake, MN; granddaughters: Tanya Trnka (Michael) of Montgomery, MN, and Michelle Picha of St. Paul, MN; great-grandchildren: John Trnka, Jordan Trnka, and Maggie Trnka; sisters: Freda Schramm of Hutchinson, MN, Erna Stallman (Donald) of Minneapolis, Alma Ness of Litchfield, MN, and Norma Mattson (Lloyd) of Cedar Mills, MN, sister-in-law Ilo Beilke of Hutchinson, MN; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sidney; son Sidney Jr. in infancy; sister Ruth Buehler and husband Harold; brothers: William Beilke, Henry Beilke and his wife Anna, and Emil Beilke, and her brother-in-law Burton Ness.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, April 11, 2001, Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. Officiating Clergy: Rev. Mark Little. ¹

Esther married Sidney JAEGER on 8 May 1936 in Cedar Mills, Meeker Co., Minnesota.¹ (Sidney JAEGER was born in 1908 and died on 27 March 1987.)
