WISCONSIN ABSTRACT OF PROBATE
Source: Register in Probate
Location: Fond du Lac County
File Name: Andrew B. Corey
Number: File 820
Date of Filing 10 March 1866
Subject: Petition for sale of real estate belonging to a minor child Andrew Corey of Fond du Lac Wisconsin
Petitioner: John Doby, Guardian
For Andrew Corey, a minor, to sell real estate SE1/4 of SE1/4 of Section 2 T15(N)R18(E) in the Town of Taycheedah and also the West parcels of the North half of the northwest quarter of Section 12 in T15(N)R18(E) in the Town of Empire.
Tunis Burhite (sic) provided a statement which says "I know the minor Andrew B. Corey. He is 12 years old and he is my daughter's son." He describes 25 acres with a "nice house on it, a horse barn and some sheds and an orchard." He is in favor of the sale, as he believes investing the proceeds in government bonds will be more profitable.
This real estate was sold. Empire property was sold to Henry Seibel for $400.00; Taycheedah property was sold to John T. Burhyte for $1800.00 on May 14, 1866.
